How Skyline Stack works

Skyline Stack is an original one-button precision game about timing moving floors, protecting tower width, and building a perfect-placement streak.

Stop the moving floor

  • Click, tap, press Space or Enter, or use the Place floor button while the moving floor overlaps the tower below.
  • Only the overlapping area remains. A complete miss ends the run, so every inaccurate placement makes the following floors harder.

Perfect placement and rising speed

  • Center a floor within the perfect tolerance to keep its complete width and increase the perfect combo.
  • The movement speed rises with tower height and the camera follows the construction, turning a simple input into a progressively tighter timing challenge.

Records and continuation

  • Best height, score, combo, total perfect placements, and completed attempts are recorded automatically.
  • An unfinished tower stores its floor positions, widths, and moving-floor state so it can continue after a reload.
Tower save stays on the deviceSkyline Stack does not upload play input, tower layouts, or records. Local saves use this browser's localStorage, and exported arcade backups are generated entirely on the device.

Skyline Stack questions

Placement rules, scoring, save behavior, and accessibility.

What counts as a perfect placement?

The moving floor's center must land very close to the center of the floor below. A perfect keeps the full width and advances the combo.

How is the score calculated?

Every completed floor grants base points plus a width bonus. Perfect placements add a larger bonus that grows with the current perfect streak.

Can I play without a keyboard?

Yes. Tap the game canvas or use the large Place floor button. Keyboard players can use Space or Enter.

What happens if local storage is cleared?

The active tower and records are removed. Export the shared arcade backup first if the data should be moved or preserved.
