How to play Nightfall Survivor

An original eight-minute browser survival game built for quick breaks, keyboard play, and touch screens.

Survive until dawn

  • Move while arc bolts automatically target the nearest enemy.
  • Collect blue shards, level up, and choose one of three upgrades without leaving the run.

Build a different run

  • Combine damage, attack speed, extra projectiles, movement, health, pickup range, piercing, and frost pulse upgrades.
  • Enemy density and elite waves rise over time, so mobility and damage both matter.

Controls and performance

  • Use WASD or arrow keys on desktop and the on-screen joystick on touch devices.
  • Fullscreen is optional. Very old or low-power devices may run slowly when many enemies and effects are active.
Local play and recordsThe game runs in this browser tab. Only best score, survival time, and maximum level are stored in localStorage on this device; FreeToolHub does not upload gameplay data.

Nightfall Survivor FAQ

Gameplay, originality, saving, and browser support.

Is this a copy of another commercial game?

No. The rules use a familiar survival-arcade genre loop, while the code, name, visual effects, enemies, balance, and interface are original FreeToolHub work.

How do I attack?

Attacks are automatic. Move to keep distance, collect shards, and shape the build through level-up choices.

Does a run continue after closing the page?

No. An active run is temporary, but best score, best time, and maximum level remain on this device until browser storage is cleared.

Which browsers work best?

A current desktop or mobile browser with Canvas and WebGL support is recommended. Performance depends on the device and the number of active enemies.
